Major areas under the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) coverage; Ikoyi, Victoria Island and part of Lagos Island, will experience total power outage from May 24 to May 28.
This was announced by the Disco’s General Manager, Corporate Communications, Mr Godwin Idemudia in a statement on Monday.
According to the company, the outage is meant to enable the maintenance crew from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) address technical issues at the Alagbon transmission station.
“We want to inform our esteem customers that from Wednesday, May 24 to Sunday, May 28, there will be an outage within Ikoyi, Victoria Island and part of Lagos Island.
“This is to enable TCN maintenance crew resolve some technical issues within Alagbon transmission stations,’’ he said.
The EKEDC spokesman said that the company highly regrets any inconveniences that the five-day outage might cause.
He assured that supply will be restored to affected areas as soon as the maintenance is successfully completed.
